- Retrieve your mail on or about the time it is delivered.
- Do not leave mail in the mailbox overnight.
- When out of town have a neighbor pick up your mail, or notify the Post Office to have your mail stopped.
- Never put out-going mail, which contains checks or personal identification numbers, in your mailbox.
- Report any suspicious activity, or people loitering near mailboxes or around the neighborhood.
When choosing a mailbox choose one bearing these three recommended factors in mind: Strength, Durability, and Function.
